We are proud to announce that both our FaceShield and best practice guidelines have been endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), the peak professional body representing the interests of Australian physiotherapists and their patients.

This endorsement cements Purifas’ position as an industry leader in the development of hygiene solutions for physiotherapists that also benefit the physiotherapy community as a whole.

The APA welcomes Purifas to our partner network and we identified that Purifas fills a much needed category being a hygiene solution provider. Their FaceShield has been endorsed and is accompanied by their best practice guidelines. We encourage all APA members, when utilising treatment tables, to consider the use of the FaceShield. (APA members who are new to the Purifas range are eligible for a discounted price offer.)

Glenn Lloyd — Manager, Partnerships & Business Development, Australian Physiotherapy Association

For a product (or service) to be endorsed by the APA it must adhere to their stringent set of requirements, which serves to ensure the product is indeed fit for purpose. To give just a few examples:

  • the product must exhibit attributes that align with the values of the physiotherapy profession and of the APA
  • the product must deliver a therapeutic benefit, reduce injury or aid with rehabilitation
  • all claims made are factual, relevant, current and can be satisfactorily verified

Endorsement only occurs after a two-part process of detailed inspection and assessment carried out by an expert review panel. As a result, both therapists and consumers alike can be assured that APA-endorsed products have been fully evaluated and provide excellent quality, value and security.

A product endorsement from the APA provides relevant professional endorsement to assist the consumer in identifying products of therapeutic benefit.
